Resolutions
I hate New Year’s resolutions. But I do like making lists.
1) Take more risks.
2) Travel more.
3) Reconnect with old friends.
4) Make new friends?
5) See more live shows.
6) Make good use of my head of hair while it lasts (I don’t have much time left).
7) Get a new bike.
8) Get over her myself.

Oh yeah, I forgot:
I hate New Year’s Eve. Suggestions for surviving are welcome. Anyone have any interesting or unique plans?

Still putting together my personal travel list, hopefully will have some more diverse destinations. Recommendations are...

– Overcoming Bias : Naked Promiscuity (via slantback)
Some of this is not surprising. But the part about women being impressed with nice cars - is that still true, in this day and age? Was it ever true?

I love your taste in music :) I’ve decided I need more Neko Case in my life, but have only heard a few songs. Any albums/songs you would recommend to start with?
Thanks! I love the music you post too, so our tastes must be very similar.
I myself started with Fox Confessor Brings the Flood - which is an astonishing album from start to finish, it still blows me away every...

More signs I'm getting old
Managed to badly sprain my back by doing nothing.
Painkillers giving me nightmares when I sleep, heartburn when I’m awake.

– Miranda July, No one belongs here more than you
I concede this is an amazing book, but boy is it depressing.

– The Economist - A world of hits (via tumbledore) (via syntheticpubes) (via mandalay) (via lifetheuniverseandeverything)
Fascinating - I’ve always wondered how so many people could possibly claim The DaVinci Code as their favorite book of all time. I usually dislike the Economist, but this...

End of year introspection
My fatal flaw: I want to save everyone. Sometimes it’s a good thing. But more often it leads to disappointment, heartache, bad choices.
